| well this weekend was my "new york" trip... and I say that in quotes because I didn't actually go to new york. I went to dover, delaware where my cousin lives. he is in the air force and got stationed here. so let me recap my vacation. thursday night I got alllll prepared. I took a couple of hours off of work early as I had not even done any laundry or anything. so I got home, did laundry, watched a movie, cleaned and eventually packed. I also started school that day, so I had to do some things for that. I set my alarm for 4:00, alotting for the SNOOZE I would be hitting, and finally getting up at 4:15. I took a quick shower, packed the rest of the things I needed, and was out of the house at 4:45. I was at the airport around 5:15. I had to then park and catch a shuttle to the terminal. I checked in, went thru security.. and then waited an hour for my plane to arrive. it did, on time and everything. I didn't say a single word to any of the people on the plane. not a smile, not a glance, not a hello... nada. weird. anyway... they played BEWITCHED on the plane. so about 4.5 hours later and sleeping on a plane for my first time.. we arrived in atlanta, georgia. I had about a 2 hour lay-over there. so by the time I got off the plane... went to the restroom, and found my next terminal... the plane had already begun boarding. I was surprised because I didn't think it had taken very long to find it and such... but then again it WAS a large airport with subway included. I had to take it to get from terminal D to terminal B. that's how large that place is. so got boarded and seated next to a very nice gentleman. we said hello and made very small small-talk. so again... I slept on this plane trip as well. I don't know what's up with that. I NEVER have slept on a plane before. not even on the 14-hour trip to china. anyway... the plane was experiencing some turbulence, so the captain asked the flight attendants to stop serving beverages and please sit down. so with that disturbance... and the time it took.. once they started serving again... they had to stop because we were already beginning our decent into baltimore. so I didn't get my damn beverage!!!!! it wasn't a big deal... but thinking about it made me thirsty. haha. oh well. so I got off, went thru the construction to find the baggage claim and my cousin. so I finally did, got my luggage and headed home. it was right in the middle of traffic hour.. so a normally 1.5 hour drive turned into an almost 4.5 hour drive. ludacris, huh?? yes, it is. so we got some grub at the local restaurant "where pigs fly" and went home to bed. next morning we got up, got ready and headed into washington d.c. it was of course raining... so that sucked. but anyway... so we had to park our car in new carrollton and take a train into downtown dc. after only three stops... the guy comes on the radio and says everyone has to get off the train and get on the shuttle bus as the tracks are out due to some maintenance.. so that sux. so we get on the shuttle and it is WAY overpacked. this bus is OLD and water is leaking thru... like steady streams of it... not just drops here and there. and its like a good 45 minute drive thru ghetto dc. wow... that part was so sad. to see the poverty that is there at our nations capital. THAT was ridiculous. anyway... so we reach the next train station... and get on one and then the announcer comes on again and says "this train is malfunctioning, please exit and wait for the next one" or something along those lines. so we're like... wtf??????????? so we get off. wait for another. then finally go to dc. we get there and it is absolutely POURING rain. so we bought an umbrella from some guy selling them on the street. then we headed to the smithsonian. it was pretty cool. we checked it all out and then had lunch there. expensive NASTY food. so we left there... went to the washinton monument then the wwII monument then to franklin monument then to the vietnam memorial then to the white house then home. or should I say... back to hell with the bus and train thing. so we got back home about 3 or so hours later... went out to dinner... then went to sleep. woke up sunday... hung around the house. then got dressed, ate lunch at applebee's... then headed to the air force base. my cousin took me there to show me the C5 airplane. its a cargo plane. its fuggin HUGE. the inside can fit more than 6 greyhound buses. crazy, huh?? anyway... we toured the whole thing. I even got to sit and play in the cockpit. its a damn shame I forgot my camera that day. so after that we just went home, chilled some more. then darrell, james' roommate (great guy), james and myself all went to the movies to see TWO FOR THE MONEY. it was an alright movie. then we came back home, ordered a pizza and watched star wars. then went to bed. I checked my bank account online and saw about 8 charges that had just posted to my account which really freaked me out as I had not even touched my account for at least 2 days. so I called bank of america and they concluded that my account number and pin had been stolen from someone in china, which withdrew this money. can u believe that???? crazy. so I had to do a whole claim, etc. what a hassle. so today we woke up, got ready to go... and headed out to philadelphia. on the way, I was like... hey, delaware doesn't have sales tax... so why don't I buy my cell phone here instead of california. so I did. I like it. its not all I expected... but I like. lgvx5200. anyway... that was an hour and a half adventure all in itself. people here are idiots. so umm... we get back on the road and an hour and half later... we reach DAVE & BUSTERS. its like a HUGE restaurant/casino/pool house/arcade that is right on the bay. its pretty awesome. so we were there for about two hours and then left and headed to IKEA to check it out. had lunch then headed back home. came home, rested a little... then went to dinner. we planned on going to dinner then heading to the movies to watch WAITING. but that didn't happen. and I didn't even realize it until right now as I type this. we ended up just watching the football game and drinking with a couple of james' military buds. it was cool. I didn't get drunk as I wanted, but whatever. then I started copying dvds and here I am now. I leave tomoro. my plane leaves at 5, so that means we have to leave here at 12:30. its all good. no biggie. so here is my analysis of dover, delaware: its a small town with amish people driving down the side of the road with horse and buggie, believe it or not. they have very very few street signs and their street lights are on wires strung across the intersections, no poles. they have no reflectors on their streets or highways to tell u where the road is at night. you see very few fences. strangly enough.. everything is WIIIIIDE open. walmart supercenter is the greatest thing since sliced bread, according to this town. people cannot drive here worth of shit, and will pull out in front of u no matter how fast or close u are to them. no sales tax tho... that's pretty awesome. | | |
| long time no post. hows it goin, pplz? does anyone ever even use this anymore? well... update on me: still in sac, still workin at a law firm... have a new position, though. i am the accounting assistant. its a more important job, plus more pay. so i like. i moved... im still in the same apartment complex, just moved to a 2 bd/2 ba apartment because i got a roommate. he's the grandson of one of the ladies i work with. his name is josh. he's pretty cool. he's never home, though. he's allllllways at his girlfriends house. but whateba. that just means i get a biggo apartment to myself. its working out so far, and i dont see any reason for it not to. but anyway... other than that... i've just been workin a lot. didnt take summer school, so thats been nice not going to school. but i've been making up for it with work. like... 12 hour days, many of them. but it has a NICE reward every two weeks :) keke. anyway... thats about it. | | |
| wow, I still can't believe that I am taking a class on friday night. crazy. then get up at 8 AM and go to school again. crazyness. saturday after class, I'm goin back to work cuz there is so much stuff that I never have time to do during the week, so I'm gunna try and do it all on saturday. this last week has been weird. I've been so upset lately. so many things have happened, but I dnt feel like talkin about it. anyway... we're watchin a movie on racism in class, and its sad. its about a bunch of ignorant white kids, and their views on colored ppl back in the day. its so blatant... the racism. very sad. =( | | |
| So yesterday (friday), jordan her sister and I went to visit her daddy in reno. That was fun. Reno isn't as far of a drive as I thot it was. So we got there, hung out, then had a nice family dinner, then jordan and I headed off as shelby and daddy went to rent movies. Jj and I went to circus circus and silver legacy and el dorado. Then we were done and walking down the street to see what else there was and guess who we saw? Gustavo (gus) orozco. Ya, out of all the people... Wtf. That was tight. Then we ate some goo mexican food... Or maybe that was b4. Iont memmer. But it was goo. Umm.. Then we got home at like 2:30. Then I burley slept that night, iono why. Then got up bout 10:45ish. Then we got up, talked, got ready to go, then had lunch with j's family. Then we (me j and shelby) went back to casinos for an jour or so, then went and got our stuff... And we left for good ol m-ville. Then we came home and went to the high school and ran a mile. I almost died. Came home, showered, watched movies. Now I'm here. Great, huh? J wanta to go to bed, but I dnt want her to cuz I'm not tire. Tomoro is easter and I'm going to my bro's house, then come home to play poo with jame. Do not even hate. Peace out, negros. | | |
| The last couple of days have been cool. They have definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions: sad, mad, glad, happy, excited. Crazy, really. Tomoro I am going to reno. I'm looking forward to that. Today I spent almost the whole day with juss me an jessica. That has never happened before, and I really liked it. She is especial. So anyway, needless to say, I'm in a pretty good mood right now =). Watching a movie with vin diesel sure doesn't hurt my good mood, either. | | |
